There's work to be done to define, understand what we're in the service of what the future looks like for human's being and doing business. How we stay relevant, build resilience and fill the gaps of industry lives in uncovering what's possible for the future.
Truth be told, I don’t spend nearly enough time in my book writing about the grapple. No, instead I’m just IN the grapple, at the effect of the grapple. Getting the shit kicked out of me by the grapple. Wishing I was somewhere else, anywhere else but here…in the grapple. Maybe I write about it afterwards, but usually it’s very summarized and lacks context and depth. In that form, it rarely serves me as clarity is missing.
Our lives are directions that arise based on the choices we make, see them not as a surprise But wise prizes in disguise Make a choice, they’re yours to take Get that life begins when you celebrate the decisions you make.
I don’t know what the future looks like. We could be headed for a dystopian nightmare. The planet could stop working and die. AI could take over the world. Or not. The constant distractions our mind creates keeps the heart from doing what it needs to do - connected and feel connected to humanity and to one another. To meet another human being where they are. Wherever that might be.

The work of creating a vivid picture of the future is not about running through a formulaic process that provides a guaranteed outcome. There’s nothing fulfilling about that. No it is about embracing the fact that we don’t know what the future could look like, but here’s what we would love for it to be. This is what unlocks the imagination and encourages each of us to see how everyday life could be different and why that would matter. This sort of thinking creates space for the next big idea, because our creative efforts now have some guide rails to explore within.

That the company's vision is way bigger than any one person, and it's about getting in sync with the value the clients need, that the team needs to deliver.
Whether its life, our circumstances, our environments, our businesses or our own selves, things change that we anticipate and look forward to and things change that we did not anticipate and do not look forward to. That is great news!
I believe that now more than ever we need to step up, be known and be heard for the real ripples we’ve always wanted to make. The problem is we all keep playing it safe. Playing it small.
The future. We all have one. The big difference lives between those who spend the time to create one to work towards instead of being at the effect of other people's ideas of how the future should go. A vision gives us passion, drive and direction. Living in anticipation of a compelling future is a life worth living, as everything we do supports us in moving forward. They inform our priorities, they expand our horizons and harness our strengths.
